This bit of silliness is something I put together using footage from the 1987 TV movie Alamo, Thirteen Days to Glory.  The original opening scene takes place the night before the Mexican army arrived and as Col. Travis (Alec Baldwin) is discussing with his servant and friend Joe (Hinton Battle) how they came to be here.      Given my personal connections to the movie, the facts that I am both a Texas history and a baseball buff (and the likelihood that I'm probably just a little bit warped), this small production was tragically inevitable. By the way, in the event you miss the punch line here, in their classic routine,  Bud Abbott and Lou Costello never named their right fielder.
