On April 5, 2008, We will be playing in a small tournament in
Cedar Hill and participating in the Farmers Branch Youth
Sports opening day parade next Saturday, April 5.
For the parade, we will meet at the Historical Park by 9:30
and go over to the starting point from here. Transportation
for the parade will be provided. After the parade, we will
return to the Park to pick up players not able to participate in
the parade and leave for Cedar Hill about 12 PM.
On April 19, 2008, The Farmers Branch Mustangs will hold
our annual Texas History Alive event, 12 PM - 5 PM. We are
going provide a table for the Texas VBB League at the event
so we can get the word out. Additionally, we will be playing
against the Estelle team around 2 or 3 PM.
The Texas Forts Trail Tournament at the Buffalo Gap Historic
Park near Abilene will be held on April 26. This will be a
one-day trip. We will leave early, around 5 AM and return
around 10 PM. There is a GREAT steakhouse there that
shouldn't be missed so I suggest we eat before we return
home. We will go in the BIG bus with Mike "Jawbreaker"
McCord as our driver. I have the entire Ken Burns
documentary "Baseball" we can view if you all choose.
We have been invited to play a game at the Fort Worth Stock
yards for their annual Texas Forts Muster on May 10, 2008.
We will leave the Historical Park at 11:30 and the game will
begin at 1:00 PM.
